The Jog-a-thon

Every year as March rolls around, we all begin preparing for the annual Brookside Jog-a-thon. It's so much fun! Spending a cool afternoon outdoors, everyone is having  great time, and no one things of it being exercise. Going grade by grade the children run for 15 minutes, trying to see how many laps they can run in that time. It's a lot of fun, gives the children an opportunity to go wild (literally), and for my little boy, he get's to dress crazy and run free.

This year the theme for his second grade class was Hawaiian. As their teacher adores the beach the children donned floral shorts, leis, sunglasses, and zinc along their noses. This year Jackson ran 15 laps-which is a serious increase from last year. He was so excited! Way to go little ninja. Take a look at some of the more memorable moments from the day and enjoy!

  1. That is so great he increased his laps. And it looks like all the kiddos were having a blast.

Thank you for taking a moment to leave a note. Have a marvelous day!
